Artist Bio: Lezlee White is a 17 year old 2005 graduate of Gurdon High School. As a former art student at GHS, she was given the opportunity to submit a design for the school’s Adirondack Chair Competition, sponsored by the Cabe Foundation. All of the chair designs were turned in and a panel, consisting of teachers, administrators, and a member of the Cabe Foundation, chose the design that would represent the school.

Artist Interpretation: "My idea for this chair came from the chair and its purpose. This type chair is usually placed somewhere for relaxation and enjoyment. In this same place I would find flowers and things of nature, therefore, I chose a floral design as my center of focus.

"Even though I have never entered a competition of this type before, I found it fun, challenging and very exciting!"
